Merry (Late) Christmas

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. We have been so busy here. We had a wonderful Christmas. Of course no one understood the comment, “Don’t do much because we don’t have room in already stuffed suitcases. Money only please.” It’s irritating that no one listens. I don’t know why we aren’t respected in our wishes. I’m not sure how we will get it all the Japan. I know I’m leaving a couple of things behind. Then there is the matter that there is still a little boy’s birthday in a week.

We had a little accident with Brayden’s Nintendo DS. Well it broke part way. I’m expecting it to fall apart any minute. The bad part is I was depending on it for the trip & I can not find a replacement anywhere. No one has one. Hopefully the store will get one in before we leave.

The Ice Storm

Well, we are caught up in the middle of a ice storm. Amarillo has the nastiest weather. So for the next few days looks like we will be locked up in the house. Because I’m not driving on 1 inch worth of ice. B has been running a fever for 3 days now. We took him to the minor emergency clinic & sat there for 2 hours +. I am about to take him to the hospital because he won’t take any medicine. He doesn’t like the taste & throws it back up. We usually don’t have a problem with this, but he won’t feel better until he takes the medicine.

The good news is it looks like we will have snow for Christmas.

Safe & Sound in Texas

What a long car ride. We took three days instead of our normal two days to get here. There were no problems. We didn’t end up siteseeing; Although we stopped in OK City to visit some friends. J had to find a gym, so that was the first thing he did. He got a 30 day membership to Golds. Now he is try to talk me into going with him. Better get off this thing, we have people to see.

Roadtrip

Hotels with internet is so cool. Here we are on our first day of travel to TX. We are taking our time, so we stopped & did some outlet shopping around noon in Burlington, NC (I think). I think we will make it a 3 day trip instead of a 2 day. I’m thinking of siteseeing in Nashville or Memphis. We’ll see where we end up.

Last Night in the House

Today is our last night in the house. The next two days will be spent in a hotel while the movers pack our stuff. We are running around today finishing up last minute things. Hopefully we have everything. I’m sure I’ll find something I wish I had. My classes are complete. I was a little worried about getting it done before we leave. The boys are bored since they don’t have video games. I guess it difficult to remember life without them. As I was tucking in the little guy he says, “I didn’t get to play video games today.” Boy are they spoiled.
