a.	Family
b.	Friend(s)

Well, here we are at the end of 2009, hoping our holiday greetings reach you before the holiday is over.

The Forguson’s
a.	left Japan abruptly and have a cozy new home at (removed)
b.	received a new phone number (#) where everyone calls & asks for Tim
c.	have several email addresses: (removed) or (removed)

J and Vicci are still
a.	married
b.	speaking
c.	breathing

For the most part, J is
a.	highly frustrated/stressed at his new US Marine Corps recruiting job
b.	learning very important sales techniques; “You’ll join NOW!”
c.	hasn’t fallen asleep at the wheel yet with his long hours and daily 3 hour commutes to area high schools

Vicci is
a.	still multitasking: housekeeper, Jason’s personal assistant, gardener, accountant, mom, handyman, travel agent, & not to forget taxi driver
b.	busy at the end of each day trying to make it look like she accomplished something before Jason arrives home every evening
c.	appreciating spiked coffee

B is
a.	enjoying fourth grade
b.	into Lego’s, playing Football, & blasting anything that walks around in a video game
c.	threatening to run off and join the circus

Looking ahead to 2010, we wish you
a.	the happiest of holidays
b.	a healthy and prosperous New Year

All our love to you,
J, Vicci, and B

All of the above multiple choice answers are true, but B hasn’t yet threatened to join the circus. We expect that may happen when puberty kicks in.

It’s nice being in my house for Christmas. Typically we travel to Texas when we were not in Japan. With B getting older, its just to hard to hide Santa’s gifts in the trunk. It won’t be much longer & he’ll out grow Santa. I really enjoyed doing alot of baking & cooking when we were in Japan. Something I didn’t do when visiting Texas. This year I’m not doing as much baking as I wanted too. I had this whole plan laid out too. Being the new recruiting person & settling into a new area has just kept us very very busy. I just started to have some free time this week with a little help from my Mom & a kid that raked the yard. I never thought I was going to get all my projects done (almost all). It should be a nice relaxing Christmas. We are have family visit, starting today till just after New Years.

This year we decided to up grade a simple pre programmed light show device to a 16 channel computerized Light-O-Roma show. Since we didn’t have to many lights (really small place in Japan). It took some time to set it up for our huge house. All the lights on the house I happened to have. I bought 5 spiral trees & set of presents. We made 6 mini trees with tomato cages. I ended up buying 25 (+) extension cords in order to set every thing up separately. I did all the computer programing for the show. I even added some intros telling about the show. The show has 15 songs. The FM transmitter works good with our big front yard. We choose 107.9 FM for the station. Overall, it turned out pretty good for our 1st show. Since people here don’t decorate AT ALL; our lights are awesome. I really wanted to add more lights but I would have to buy more cords. I can’t wait to see what we come up with next year. We are thinking about putting a Halloween show together too. Flickr & facebook has a few videos of the show.

Show runs 6-10 Sun-Thurs 6-11 Fri-Sat.

I been quite busy since we gotten back to the US. We took a two week road trip from Seattle to San Diego then to Amarillo. (Check Flickr for pics.) We stopped & saw lots of interesting sites along the way. Now we are just visiting family until its time to move to Decatur, Alabama. After researching our new home; I’m kinda excited. There is a Army base there, which will be great (We’ll save lots of money). It seems like a good area to live in. I’m waiting for actual orders before I’ll take off. Hopefully that will be soon. I’m ready to be in my own house with my things. Living out of a suitcase has really gotten old.

After buying the new car, we went sightseeing in Seattle (not to mention shopping). We hit Pike Place Market; the Space Needle, & did a underground tour. On our way to San Francisco, we drove through a 2400 year old redwood tree. Tried to find Crater Lake. (its in the middle of no where) Tring not to tire (freak) out the cat we stopped for the night after 7 hrs each day of driving. San Fransisco was cold. We ended up buying jackets for our boat ride under the Golden Gate & Bay bridges & around Alcatraz. We saw many different things here; wax museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, Bay aquarium. It’s a very expensive city. Now we are in LA for more adventures.

It feels great & weird to be back in the US. We are back to blending in & not sticking out like sore thumbs. I flew commercial in order to bring the cat back. I was extremely nervous about traveling by myself (Mainly because of the cat). Actually it was pretty easy. I didn’t have any problems with customs, but I think that was because he is a cat. Dogs have alot more restrictions.

Louie actually did really well for a non-travelling cat. I didn’t even have to sedate him. He seems quite content that I was nearby. Now that we are in the hotel; he is most annoying wanting to be petted 24/7.
