If I find him in my tree one more time, I’m throwing him off the balcony. I woke up last night to the sound of bells, which were on the tree. (Second time I was awoken to bells.) The dam cat was in the tree; literally. He jumped from the middle of the tree when I sprayed him with water. I found at least four broken gold ball ornaments and about a dozen more laying on the floor.
It’s not like I can run to the store to replace them either. The exchange only carries cheep tacky plastic ornaments. Even the tacky ones aren’t in my color scheme. I can’t afford anymore broken ornaments, so the cats are going to get locked up at night.

Or do you think he could actually land on his feet after falling 5 stories? Louie is a brave soul. This was the first time I’ve seen him attempt to walk the railing. That was about as far as he got before he chickened out. I’m sure it won’t take long before he crosses the whole thing. It scares me every time he gets up on the patio wall. All I think of is violating housings rule number one: No throwing things off the balconies.

Furrkins,
Japan
Sometimes it works sometime it doesn’t. And this weekend was one of those times. I just gave up trying to post anything. So this is what happened: We finally got our 2 cats. What sweet lovable kitties. Louie is 3 yr old mackerel tabby & Nazomi is a 1 yr old gray tabby. It didn’t take long for them to adjust to their new home. B is really enjoying having them around. We also got our second vehicle; an 8 passenger van. We don’t really need something that big but it was FREE. Can’t refuse free. It will also come in handy to do things with friends. All the highways have expensive tolls & you have to pay to park, so taking one car will save everyone money. One thing I can say about living in Japan is it is very “EXPENSIVEâ€. A juice size cup of soda is $3-5 at a restaurant. At the grocery store, I saw a round watermelon for $15. Good thing we can get most of our stuff on the base.

This weekend is the big spring bazaar. Vendors from all over Asia are bringing products to display. Everyone goes nuts over this bazaar. I am eager to find some decorations. Possibly a vase. Red of course. Japanese people don’t have to much red stuff. I think the Chinese does more of that. It’s good that it going on since it’s going to rain all weekend. It finally warms up to the low 60s & them it rains on the weekends. Yuck! Can’t site-see that way. This week I’m talking a volunteer victim advocate class. Victim advocates provide support & information to people who have been sexually abused & physically abused. They say it takes a whole year to complete the training, since not to many of those type of cases happen here on base. I thought it would be good experience for me & a way to help others. Well it’s been three weeks so far, that J & I have been working out at lunch. I have really enjoyed going & have kept motivated. (insert patting myself on the back here) It has helped to have someone to go with. I just have been able to keep some girlfriends interested in going.

What a morning so far. I just want to crawl back into bed & pull the covers over my head. I awoke to B telling be he had an accident (The number 2 kind.). The whole house reeked. J & I got up to take care of it. Then I noticed my little visitor came (putting it nicely). I got everyone shuttled of to school, work, & the vet. We made the decision to put Suki to sleep. Was it the right thing to do? I still don’t know. The vet said we were making the right decision. We figure he knew best. So we will be searching for a new kitty. Now I have to tell B after school. I’m not to worried about B. On Friday, he came home & said that his heart tells him to keep her until she gets sick, but his head says to go ahead & let her go now. Wow. He is only 8. We didn’t want to loose her, but I don’t want her to suffer either. I won’t let another cat in this house until I know that they are not sick. We are not doing this again! I know I’ll be breaking out the margaritas before the night is through.
